At the end of The Dark Knight, Christian Bale comes out in George Clooney's nipple suit, then Gary Oldman turns into Dracula and kicks his ass.
ANYWAY.
Here's a quote by someone very cool:
"In the past, I've had my share of good reviews, but it's always the crazy, scary, weirdo guy. I don't even know how it happened. Look at me. I mean, when I'm naked, I look like a bald chicken. How did I get to be a scary bad guy?"
:)

I came to the conclusion today that the ratio of sleazy guys to non-sleazy guys is much higher in Santa Rosa than it is in San Francisco, surprisingly. I've been back in Sonoma County for about two weeks, and I've never heard the lines "Hey baby, how YOU doin'?" and "Oh my God, girl, WOO!" so frequently in such a short time span. The creativity of these pick-up lines is mind-blowing and baffling. I would love to feel flattered, but I think all it really means is that the standards for ladyfolks are lower around here.
At least Rose and I got some jukebox money.
I almost met Hideo Kojima on Saturday. We waited at the Metreon for about four hours, but the line got cut off before we could get to him. He saw us (mostly Danny) and laughed at our CalorieMates though, and that was pretty much the highlight of the entire event.
I haven't seen The Incredible Hulk yet, which is upsetting. Shame on me. I really need to see it soon.
Updating from the iPhone makes me lazy and terrible.
And I miss my booboo.

Here's the new music video.
Weezer: "Pork and Beans"
Reminds me of that episode of South Park with all the famous Internet stars. I still don't approve of Rivers' 'stache, but I think I'm a fan.
If you're friends with Joey, you should be seeing this on his LiveJournal, too, ahaha.

Iron Man: Excellent.
Speed Racer: Not the best, but fun to watch.
Indy 4: Great.
All are enjoyable. Updating from iPhone is a hassle. More later. :)

I'm always baffled by people whose closest friends are those with whom they have classes.
Also: What the fuck happened to our toothpaste?!
I'm going to see Speed Racer today. It's been getting bad reviews, but I'm excited anyway. I'm also seeing Indy 4 twice tomorrow--once in the afternoon in Santa Rosa, and once in the evening in San Francisco. I'm also going to see Iron Man for a third time. When The Incredible Hulk and Dark Knight come out, I'll be all over those, too.
Wow. It's been awhile since I've wanted to see this many Summer blockbusters.

HOORAY.
During the ceremony, when the faculty was walking to the stage, I spotted my favorite teacher ever. James and I yelled "ALEV!!!" as loud as possible, and he when turned around, he smiled this ridiculously goofy smile and waved at us excitedly. I seriously don't think I'd ever seen him smile that much in the entire time I've known him. We also yelled "ALEV!!!" any time someone from our class crossed the stage, which is also noteworthy. Team Mustafa (a.k.a. Jake, James, and Irene, f.k.a. Team 1) was totally his favorite.
A complaint: You know, I don't think the people who make those ridiculous caps realize that one size doesn't actually fit all. I didn't get my hat bobby-pinned to my abnormally-small head, so when the official pictures were taken and I crossed the stage, it kept slipping off.
When I shook Father Privett's hand and took my diploma placeholder, I worried that my cap was going to fall off. I felt like Indiana Jones: something crucial was going on in my life, but all I could think about was how terrible it'd be if I lost my hat.
Speaking of Indy, we're seeing it at the bar at Sundance Kabuki on Thursday night at 10:35 pm, if anyone would like to join us. We're sitting in the five middlest seats in row B. Does anyone else think "WHAT THE FUCK" when seeing the part in the commercials with Even Stevens on the Harley? Maybe it's just me.
On the day of my last final, I ran into that Beck-looking guy when I was waiting for Joey and Ryan. He totally asked me out on a date in front of Joey. Kind of awkward. Joey describes it better here.
I'M SO TIRED GOODNIGHT!

One of my favorite shows ever, Spaced, is finally getting a US DVD release. I never thought they'd do it, so I bought the UK version sometime last year. This one's got pretty much a bajillion special features and awesome people on the commentary track, so I think I'll have to buy it again.
Taken from the official release:
'Spaced is utter brilliance. Constantly and amazingly laugh-out-loud funny and heart wrenchingly emotional, this is a series for, well, anyone who has ever lived,' says JJ Abrams (Lost, Star Trek). 'Watching Spaced is kinda like watching a Kevin Smith film if Kevin Smith had any real talent,' confesses Kevin Smith (Clerks, Dogma). 'I watch and re-watch Spaced from time to time to remind myself how good television comedy can be,' says Matt Stone (South Park, Team America: World Police).
Boasting over eight hours of content, Spaced: The Complete Series features bonus material including the all-new commentary from Quentin Tarantino, Kevin Smith, Matt Stone, Bill Hader (Superbad, Saturday Night Live), Patton Oswalt (King of Queens, Ratatouille) and Diablo Cody (Oscar®-winning writer of Juno).
That's a pretty solid list of commentators. That Kevin Smith quote is my favorite.
P.S. Joey won me an inflatable tiger from school today. His name is Tony.
P.P.S. Back to work. :(

For all of the group projects Alev assigns in our Strategic Management class, each group is required to create and fill out a peer evaluation form. Tonight, during an Alev group meeting with Jake and James, James wrote this masterpiece in our project's Google document:

It's probably the best thing anyone has ever written for Alev's class in his entire history of teaching.
Interestingly enough, Alev actually has a Facebook. Today, James gave him this video as his first wall post.
I actually have an Alev photo album on Facebook, but it's still missing some pictures, so I'll post it another day.

Today, I did a Google search on "rinichanraar" and found one of my Livejournal entries on this website, ://URLFAN. I don't know how it got there, but I do know this: I really, really like that, on the left sidebar, under "Post Category," it says, "wangs." AHAHAHHAHA. "WANGS."
I watched Krzysztof Kieslowski's Three Colors trilogy this weekend (Blue, White, and Red), and it was amazing. I can't recommend each of them to everyone, but I think they can be appreciated by people who are interested in film for more than just entertainment value... if that makes any sense.
On a sillier and more awesome note, here is something whose coolness (and total sweetness) is maximum:

I have to interview a bunch of people in Japanese by Thursday. I only have to ask four questions (and they're really simple questions about video games, by the way), but I know I'm going to feel really awkward doing it.
( アンケート:テレビゲーム )
I don't feel like writing it out in English, and my interviewees must be Japanese, anyway. But if you can read it as it is, feel free to answer.

OH GOD OH GOD JOURNEY is starting its US tour in July!
They have six dates in California:
Tue 7/15 San Diego, CA Coors Amphitheatre
Wed 7/16 Irvine, CA Verizon Amphitheatre
Wed 9/24 Concord, CA Sleep Train Pavilion at Concord
Fri 9/26 Sacramento, CA Sleep Train Pavilion at Sacramento
Sat 9/27 Mountain View, CA Shoreline Amphitheatre
Tue 9/30 Los Angeles, CA Greek Theatre
The new lead singer of Journey is a Filipino guy named Arnel Pineda. When he's speaking regularly, he's got a big accent, but when he's singing, he sounds exactly like Steve Perry. He was discovered by Journey's guitarist, Neal Schon, when he saw a YouTube video of his band (The Zoo) covering one of their songs. He contacted the guy, and now he's their lead singer. Crazy, huh?
ANYWAY, assuming we're still living in San Francisco, Joey and I plan on going to the one in Concord. WHO'S WITH US?!

The Stuff White People Like blog got really popular about a month and a half ago in mid-February. I had read some of them around that time (#64 Recycling, #69 Mos Def, and #71 Being the Only White Person Around), but I was procrastinating tonight and decided to read nearly the entire rest of the list. I guess I might be a little whitewashed since I liked a few of the things on the list, too.
A lot of them were actually surprisingly (and humorously) accurate. I had actually made some of these observations about a person whom I don't like very much, and I'm glad someone out there was ballsy enough to include them in his list:
#1 Coffee
#2 Religions Their Parents Don't Belong To
#3 Film Festivals
#5 Farmer's Markets
#6 Organic Food
#7 Diversity
#12 Non-Profit Organizations
#13 Tea
#14 Having Black Friends
#15 Yoga
#18 Awareness
#19 Traveling
#20 Being an Expert on YOUR Culture
#24 Wine
#28 Not Having a TV
#35 The Daily Show/Colbert Report
#39 Netflix
#40 Apple Products
#41 Indie Music
#48 Whole Foods and Grocery Co-ops
#54 Kitchen Gadgets
#62 Knowing What's Best for Poor People
#67 Standing Still at Concerts
#70 Difficult Breakups
#71 Being the Only White Person Around
#72 Study Abroad
#78 Multilingual Children
#80 The Idea of Soccer
#81 Graduate School
#82 Hating Corporations
#83 Bad Memories of High School
#84 T-Shirts (particularly American Apparel and Threadless)
#86 Shorts
#87 Outdoor Performance Clothes
#90 Dinner Parties
Sorry for the long list. I thought it'd be fun for me to list all of the things that person likes (or has some sort of relation to), but it ended up being longer than I thought. ;)

Smash is fun. Hangovers are not. The Pillows were amazing. Noodles was also good. Brie sandwiches are excellent. Los Angeles was enjoyable. Dean Cain as a zombie is ridiculous.
On St. Patrick's Day, the Pillows will be playing at Slim's with Noodles and All Ages. I'm really excited about The Pillows and Noodles, but I don't know how I feel about that other band yet.

Will more than likely be bar hopping before and after the show. HOORAY BEER!

I bought a Minute Maid from one of the vending machines in Malloy Hall, and when it came out, it was warm.
For the past two weeks, every time I went to the machine, everything was sold out. I guess they had just restocked it.

... have been pretty standard.
And by "pretty standard," I mean "somewhat fun, I guess."
In February, for our two-year anniversary, Joey and I went to a Peruvian restaurant called Fresca. I'd give it a high YUMMY rating overall, but partially because I generally like any place that has tuna tartare and isn't terrible. Seriously, guys, I love tuna tartare with all of my body (INCLUDING MY PEE PEE). Five AWESOME-MAN NINJA POINTS go to whomever gets the reference?
Instead of watching a movie the next night, we had dinner at Pizza Orgasmica with Morgan and her parents, which was both delicious and ridiculous; her dad wore his (in)famous "N.W.A - STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON" shirt that was the topic of MANY an absurd conversation. I ESPECIALLY liked how he kept saying he wanted to add his picture onto it, PROBABLY between the likes of Eazy-E, Ice Cube, and Dr. Dre. Went to the Bitter End afterwards, as usual.
On Thursday, I made myself a Screwdriver and drank the entire thing during the SECOND-WORST class I've ever taken, only to find out we had a small presentation at the end of the session. At the time, I was pretty sure I'd made an idiot out of myself, but I later found out that Judy, who I had in my next class, didn't notice a thing. I can't tell if that means I'm good at hiding minor tipsiness or if I usually sound like a BIGTIME RETARDO LADY when I speak.
You know, lately, I've developed a strong appreciation for alcoholic beverages mixed with dairy. After dinner every night, I've been making White Russians and Mudslides and Irish Coffees and Irish... Milks. The bright green Guinness and Bailey's display at Lucky's totally lured Joey and me in last week. We were deadset on purchasing both the Guinness and the Bailey's because of the $2 off we'd get for buying both. As if we'd be saving money by buying more alcohol or something. NO I AM NOT AN ALCOHOLIC! I really like martini shakers though.
After several rounds of Rock Band, we went to Circa the other night for "80s Night." Admittedly, one of my favorite things about the place is that Nikki works there, so we get to cut in front of everyone in line outside and have tons of free drinks. Oh, and also, they have tuna tartare. AGAIN, let me stress that I AM NOT AN ALCOHOLIC!
That night, since they were supposed to be playing strictly eighties music, Zack-san requested Rick Astin's "Never Gonna Give You Up" (more commonly known as "THE RICK ROLLED SONG"), but they unfortunately never played it. I had been looking forward to obnoxiously yelling "rick rolled" everywhere, too. OH WELL.
Oh, and I found out that night that King of Thai II replaced their floors. Danny says it's probably 'cause of the time I puked there on my 21st birthday after having what he describes as "AT LEAST A DOZEN" shots. DEFINITELY not an alcoholic. It was my goddamned 21st birthday! It always amazes me this story comes up every few weeks.
Right now, I have a group meeting (hookah session) with Jake and James at Jake's house, so I must depart!
-- Rini
P.S.: TESH, would you like your groceries back soon? I don't want the meat to go bad in my fridge, 'cause that'd be a big waste. Should I freeze it?

Joey and I saw Persepolis and ate at Metro Kathmandu last week on Valentine's Day, and I highly recommend doing either or both of these activities to anyone reading this.
We're going to Video Games Live on Friday, and apparently, there're game competitions and a costume contest. If the website's accurate and one of the competitions is Guitar Hero III, I'll probably enter. I'm tempted to enter the costume contest as Chun-Li, but I'm not sure if I'm nerdy (or ballsy) enough to do it. I seriously can't decide.
Apparently, Ryan Reynolds is going to be Deadpool in the upcoming Wolverine movie, though it's not yet confirmed on IMDb. I can definitely see why he was chosen, but I still think it's kind of weird.
Joey's playing Eye of Judgment right now, and it's the nerdiest thing ever.
